Annual Connection is a three-day competition and event, bringing Cable Jointers and Line Mechanics together from across New Zealand to compete and demonstrate their skills and expertise.

We are pleased to invite high-school students ages 14 years + to join in on the action.

Come see the crews that keep NZ connected, up-close in action, and learn about career and apprenticeship opportunities in this exciting industry.

What to expect at the Careers Insight Session:  
  • Meet local Electricity Supply employers to learn about career pathways and opportunities
  • Meet and hear from ambassadors working in the industry
  • Get a tour of the competition arena where the Line Mechanics and Cable Jointers are working
  • Get a sense of the industry and work with a hands-on activity.

Please note: This is just an expression of interest form to gauge how many sessions we intend to run. Formal registrations will open on the 31st August 2026. Spaces are limited. We will try to accommodate all registrations, but we do apologise if all spaces have been allocated. Students will need to be supervised by a school representative. Food will be provided.
